Already have hearing aids but not wearing them? Let's fix that

Re-Fitting & Hearing Aid Rescue.

Already have hearing aids but not wearing them? Let's fix that — without automatically replacing them.

This is one of the most underutilised services in audiology, and one of the most valuable.

Many people who have purchased hearing aids are not wearing them — or not wearing them consistently. The reasons are usually fixable: the devices were never properly verified for your hearing loss, the fitting wasn't adjusted as your hearing changed, comfort or sound quality was never quite right, or the counselling and follow-up support wasn't adequate at the time of purchase.

What's involved: A Re-Fitting consultation begins with a review of your existing devices and your history with them. Real Ear Measurement is used to assess whether your current devices are actually delivering appropriate amplification for your hearing loss. In many cases, reprogramming, retuning, or minor adjustments — combined with proper counselling and a structured follow-up plan — can transform a pair of hearing aids that were gathering dust, into devices that genuinely help.

What this is not: A sales pitch for new hearing aids. If your existing devices are capable of meeting your needs, the goal is to make them work. If they genuinely cannot — perhaps because your hearing or situation has changed substantially — that will be explained clearly.

Who it's for: Anyone who has purchased hearing aids and is dissatisfied, struggling to adapt, or has simply stopped wearing them. Second opinions on device recommendations are also welcome here.

Note: Re-fitting services are available for devices purchased anywhere.

Duration: Min. two appointments, usually three
