Diagnostic Hearing Assessment.

The most important conversation starts with the most accurate picture.

A diagnostic hearing assessment at Deane Audiology is comprehensive by design — not a screen, not a quick check, but a full clinical evaluation following best-practice protocols endorsed by Audiology Australia.

What's involved: Your assessment includes pure-tone audiometry across the full speech frequency range, speech discrimination testing, tympanometry (middle ear function), acoustic reflex testing, and a detailed case history review. Results are interpreted in the context of your lifestyle, your communication demands, and your health history — not just plotted on a chart.

Who it's for: Anyone concerned about their hearing, experiencing communication difficulties in noise, or requiring an assessment for Medicare, DVA, WorkSafe, or specialist referral purposes. GPs and ENT specialists are encouraged to refer directly.

What you leave with: A detailed audiological report, a plain-language explanation of your results, and a clear recommended pathway — whether that's monitoring, intervention, or onward referral. Reports can be sent directly to your GP or specialist.

Duration: Approximately 60–90 minutes.
